Willys Overland MB Jeep

The Willys MB & the Ford GPW were both formally called the US Army Truck 4x4 Command Reconnaissance but commonly known as Jeep or G503. They were very successful off road, light utility military vehicles built in large numbers to a standard design from 1941 to 1945 for the allied forces in WW2.

After the war the MB was modified for the civilian market & became the CJ-2A. The main difference being the addition of a tailgate & choice of colour.

Willys Jeep CJ Series

Derived from the 1944 Willys Overland Jeep the CJ (short for Civilian Jeep) Series continued in production from 1946 to 1986 and is regarded as the most successful vehicle of its type ever built having sold over 1.5 million units.

There were many upgrades & new models of the CJ over the years, all with the same basic looks & construction techniques.
