Citroen 2CV Sahara 4x4

First available in 1960, Citroen sold manufactured just 695 units of the Sahara 4x4 over the following 11 years. Lack of sales was put down to the fact it was very expensive compared to the standard two wheel drive model.

With its quirky 4x4 set up involving two engines & two gearboxes, the Sahara is very rare & now highly collectible.

Citroen Mehari 4x4

The Citroen Mehari was manufactured between the years 1968 to 1988, but the 4wd version was only produced from 1979 to 1983.

Whilst the Mehari was based on the 2CV platform, the 4x4 version did not share the same quirky two engine / two transmission set up as the 2CV Sahara. The Mehari did feature 4 wheel independent suspension & disc brakes.

Citroen BX19 GTi 4x4

The BX range of Citroens were launched in 1982 & received much acclaim for both their styling & comfort. The GTi 4x4 didn't enter the line up until 1989, but despite looking good it was only moderately successful.
