Subaru Leone

The predecessor of the famous Subaru Impreza which gained many plaudits in the rally world, the Leone was first intoduced in 1971 as a rear wheel drive car, but in 1972 the 4x4 version became available & was the most popular seller in both sedan & wagon versions until it was discontinued in 1992.

The Leone was also known as the DL, GL, GLF, GLF5, GL-10 & RX in some markets.

First introduced in 1992 the Impreza WRX model (WRX stands for World Rally eXperimental) & can be described as a modern classic due to its following & success as a rally car.
