Toyota Land Cruiser

With production starting in 1951with the BJ & FJ versions, the Land Cruiser name was coined for marketing reasons in 1953 so it sounded on a par with the British built Land Rover.

Generally acknowledged as the most rugged & reliable 4x4 off road vehicle of its type ever to be built, the Land Cruiser is still being manufactured today & over 20 million vehicles have been sold worldwide.

Toyota Hilux Pickup

Although the Hilux had been around since 1968 it wasn't until 1978 that the 4x4 version became available.

In 1981 Toyota collaborated with after market customisers to allow Toyota to enter the SUV market in North America. The vehicles which resulted from this collaboration were the Trekker (Winnebago), Wolverine, and the Trailblazer (Griffith).
